1. Consultation — examination, indication and a procedure plan.
2. Preparation — scheduled outside your period, ideally about 2 weeks before it.
3. Procedure — 30–90 minutes under local anesthesia, IV sedation on request.
4. Going home — after a short rest at the clinic, always accompanied.
5. Follow-up — after 1 week. Healing takes 4–6 weeks; the final result is assessed after 2–3 months.
Does it hurt?
The procedure is done under local anesthesia, similar to a dental procedure. IV sedation can be added if you wish. Post-operative pain is usually mild.
Will I have to stay in hospital?
No. You usually go home within 1–2 hours, always accompanied. Please don’t drive afterwards.
How long is the recovery?
4–6 weeks. During this time, avoid intercourse, baths and heavy physical activity.
Will there be visible scars?
We use fine absorbable sutures. With careful aftercare, scars are usually minimal.
Is it covered by insurance?
No. Aesthetic and functional gynecology, including the consultation, is self-paid.
When is the best time?
Outside your period, ideally about 2 weeks before it. Stop blood thinners 3 weeks beforehand; there’s no need to stop contraception.
